The winter ptarmigan hunt is legendary. Anyone who has ever glided on skis towards a flock of ptarmigan is hooked – and the yearning returns each January. If the weather gods prevent us from hunting on the mountain, we will swap our bullets for shot and take the dog to help us in the mountainside birch forest.
Hunting with a guide normally leads to the possibility of bringing down 8–10 birds per group and day (guide with 1–2 dogs and 2–3 shooters).
