The artists of the suite chosen lives built on their own heart's desire, and therefore they are spending most of the year doing ice projects and ephemeral art projects together, all over the world.

About the artists

Elisabeth Kristensen is a Norwegian/Sami sculptor who works with ephemeral materials such as ice and snow, and has returned to ICEHOTEL year after year for different projects. She spends a lot of time travelling, creating monumental, ephemeral works of art.

Dave Ruane, or "Irish Dave" as he is also known as, works with ice, snow, metal and wood. He has worked for ICEHOTEL on different ice projects, both in Jukkasjärvi and around the world, for many years and brings his Irish charm into all of his work. He is a visual anthropologist who documents dissapearing customs and traditions. He is an ICEHOTEL veteran with a great eye for details.
