ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL STOCKHOLM
In the early 2000s, ICEHOTEL’s founder Yngve Bergqvist wanted to expand the ICEBAR concept. Together with artists Åke Larsson and Arne Bergh, he aimed to bring ICEBAR to the world, allowing more cities and people to enjoy the frozen experience.
Stockholm was the first to open the doors to ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL in 2002 – the world’s first permanent ice bar! Today, ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL, located right next to Stockholm Central Station, attracts 100,000 visitors annually. With its spectacular design, it has become an iconic meeting spot for both locals and tourists from all corners of the world.

Chilled drinks
At ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL, drinks are served in glasses made of crystal-clear ice from the Torne River. These ice glasses are crafted in Jukkasjärvi and shipped to each ICEBAR in custom-designed refrigerated containers. These exclusive glasses are a big part of the ICEBAR experience – there’s something truly special about enjoying one of our signature drinks from a glass made of ice.
