Recognition of brand preservation and development

Icehotel was today awarded the annual SIGNUMPRISET®  in recognition of its long term work to preserve and develop the brand.

The panel, representing industry, research and legal sectors, was struck by the company’s straightforward and well thought-through internal communication, but also the decision to use the ephemeral nature of the ice as a core value of the brand.

The prize, which was founded by Swedish IP law firm Groth & Co and now running in its twentieth consecutive year serves to acknowledge Nordic companies that lead the way of successful brand management.

The winner was announced with a short ceremony in Stockholm today.

ABOUT ICEHOTEL

Icehotel opened in 1989 and is beside a hotel also an art exhibition with ever-changing art out of ice and snow. Icehotel is created in a new guise every winter, completely made out of natural ice from Torne River, one of Sweden’s national rivers and last untouched waters.

When the winter season’s Icehotel has melted back into the river in the spring, a part of the hotel remains; Icehotel 365 - a place where visitors can experience the ice and sleep in hand carved art suites year-round.
