Welcome to Skogen (The Forest)
Step into the Ceremony Hall of Icehotel, a frozen forest. Surrounded by ice trees, branches and leaves, you can use all your senses to connect to nature. In the Japanese tradition, this is called forest bathing, Shinrin-Yoku. Here you can sit down for a moment in stillness, or walk down the aisle hand in hand with your lucky one, surrounded by ice trees in a frozen moment of time.
The sun and the moon are both present in the hall, and in daytime when the sun shines it will be the main light source in the Ceremony Hall. To create the Ceremony Hall, 42 tonnes of ice were used.
