Lucid Dream is a concept which examines the boarderline between dream and reality
As Lukas Petko is an architect and also work a lot with 3D digital design he became intrigued by creating a dream-like reality. His project is a study of space, objects, light and materials that define our environment, finding a balance between these elements and telling a story through juxtaposing a world which is concrete and tangible with a world full of dreams, we create while we sleep.
When designing this space he tried to create a space focusing on three elements; 1 Depth – trying to reach an illusion that the boarders of the room continues far behind the actual wall. This was achieved through working with layers. 2 Materiality – in terms of materiality the layers are created using different materials which creates a backdrop for each other. 3 Composition – every object has its role and importance.

LUKAS PETKO is a Slovakian architect, designer and illustrator based in Stockholm. He is blending functional architecture with a sense of childlike wonder. He has travelled to 60 different countries and speaks several languages.
